Who are we?
We're here to make a difference!!
Our purpose is to bring widespread awareness to improving the quality of life during cancer treatment of pre-teen and teenage patients alike (ages 3 to 17), and offer them a way to be kids which turns out to be better for everyone. Laughter and happiness is it's own best medicine no matter the outcome.
Why We Exist For You
Trust is very important when dealing with families and the healthcare profession. If you feel slightly uncomfortable with your caseworker, try to communicate your needs right away. You have the right not to be inundated with anything that doesn't contribute to the quality of health care for your child. Many of our staff members understand this, because we and/or our loved ones have shared similar experiences. It's why we exist.
Meet Our Volunteer's
We are educated professionals such as teachers, engineers, inventors and good people from all walks of life who share one mission: to help a child during a health crisis. All volunteers give of themselves freely with one purpose in mind - to give children and families the ability to communicate during a difficult period. Many of our volunteers are retired but some are still working professionals who are able to blance both worlds. What could be more rewarding than to see a child smile? Nothing! Everything we do is aimed at making that child smile. When we accomplish this we all smile. This is of utmost importance to the volunteers. What's really important to you?

Having just lost my sister to cancer, I was looking for some way to contribute and to help those in need. I am honored to be asked to be Spokeswoman for Laptops Of Love, and to also be part of such a special group of people. Helping anyone facing cancer, patient, family and friends, is a wonderful way to honor the memory of my beautiful sister. She fought such a good battle with dignity and grace.
